When we build you a website, you have control of the content through a Content Management System, or CMS. That means that you can make changes to the text of the website easily yourself, without having to pay for every little change.
WordPress
We highly recommend our clients use the excellent WordPress open-source software as their CMS. WordPress is easy to use, having established itself as the leading platform for bloggers. We have experience in tailoring WordPress to suit your needs by building custom WordPress themes and plugins. There is a whole world of plugins and widgets available to help extend WordPress too.
Our standard website offerings are now based around WordPress, using a custom theme to match your branding and with support for plugins and widgets.
Wikis
Collaborative websites that are used to build a collective knowledge base are best served by wikis. We have experience in establishing and customising the popular MediaWiki software, as used by Wikipedia. We can help you take your first steps with building your wiki, as well as securing and extending it through custom extensions and skins.
Custom CMS
Sometimes a website just needs a little bit of content management added to it, either because it’s a long-standing website that won’t be redeveloped yet or because it’s a sophisticated application all on its own and is difficult to integrate with a CMS. In those cases, we can add CMS functionality by building a custom content management system within the website. Through some excellent open-source packages like TinyMCE, we can extend a basic product database or page content administration system to permit rich text (HTML) and images.
